Ilana is a senior lecturer in clinical psychology at Massey University’s Wellington campus. Her research focuses on the emotional and social mechanisms that contribute to and maintain internalizing psychopathology (e.g., anxiety, depression) in populations under chronic stress (e.g., Rainbow/LGBTQIA+ folks) during critical developmental transitions (e.g., adolescence). She is a licensed/registered clinical psychologist in New Zealand and the USA (New York), with a specialty in working with Rainbow youth and their families.
